How do I create a QR code for free?

Choose what the code should open — a website, plain text, Wi-Fi login, email or phone number — and fill in the details. The QR code updates live. Pick colours and a size, then download it as PNG or SVG. No account is needed and there is no limit.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The code contains your data directly (a static QR code), not a link through our servers, so it works forever and we cannot see who scans it. If you need scan analytics or the ability to change the destination later, use a short link service and encode that URL.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

PNG is right for websites, slides and social posts — choose 1024 or 2048 px for print. SVG is a vector file that scales to any size without blurring, which is what designers and printers prefer for business cards, posters and packaging.

Can I change the QR code colours?

Yes. Set any colour for the code and the background, or make the background transparent to place the code on your own design. Keep strong contrast — dark modules on a light background scan most reliably.

What is error correction and which level should I pick?

Error correction adds redundancy so the code still scans when part of it is dirty, damaged or covered. L survives about 7% damage, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. M is the everyday default; choose H if you plan to place a logo over the centre or print small.

How do I make a Wi-Fi QR code?

Select Wi-Fi, enter the network name and password and pick the security type (WPA for almost every modern router). Guests scan the code with their phone camera and join instantly without typing the password.

Is my data sent to a server?

No. The code is generated in your browser and nothing is stored or transmitted, so it is safe to encode Wi-Fi passwords and private links.
