Start at speed 5 and adjust with the arrow keys while you read. The tool shows an estimated words-per-minute figure under the script. Most people sound natural between 140 and 160 words per minute. Slower, around 110 to 130, works for tutorials and anything technical. Above 170 is fast and only suits short, energetic clips.

Yes. Turn on Mirror text and the script flips horizontally, so it reads correctly when reflected in a teleprompter glass mounted in front of the lens. Combine it with Fullscreen and place the browser window on the monitor or tablet that feeds the rig.

Yes. The teleprompter runs in Safari, Chrome and other modern mobile browsers. Tap the panel to play or pause. Fullscreen depends on the browser; on iPad it works in Safari, and on phones you can rotate to landscape and hide the toolbar for a similar effect. Keep the screen awake in your device settings for longer scripts.

Your script and settings are saved in your browser's local storage, so they are still there after a reload or the next day on the same device. Nothing is sent to a server. Use Clear to remove the script, or clear the site data in your browser.

Move the browser window as close to your camera as possible, directly below or above the lens, and make it narrow so your eyes do not travel far. Set the font large enough to read without leaning in. Keep the line you are reading at the eye-line marker near the top of the panel, which sits closer to the camera than the middle of the screen.
